The multiplier map seems to be missing some highlights/shadows and/or details and seems to appear a little flat. All items, even flat ones, need some highlighting, details like seams or wrinkles to look nice as well with patterns :)
If you're not great at creating textures then you can always check out the tutorial section!
It seems that the multiplier map is not exactly suited for patterns and recolours due to the fact that the map is already coloured in and not grayscaled. Since the sims 3 has CASting and downloaders would love to have a CASable mesh, it would make sense to make it grayscaled so downloaders can use it more properly :)
If you do want to keep it, make sure to at least make a non-recolourable version and a recolourable version so downloaders can choose.
You have a good start on the multiplier, but you're not quite there yet! Though with a little bit of more work, your mesh will definitely get a more realistic 3D look. That way the texture can make the most out of your mesh! :)
If you're a bit confused about what to change, make sure that your mesh has enough shadows/highlights and details (like seams, wrinkles, etc.) and/or check the tutorial section!
You've got a great base going on with the multiplier made for the mesh! Although if you want, it can use some more highlighting, shadowing or/and detailing on the texture itself to make it exactly the same as what it represents :)
The highlights and shadows look fantastic and they suit the item really well! Thank you! <3
The multiplier has such great details as well as highlighting/shadowing! Thanks for making such a pretty (and useful) texture!

General Guidelines
Multiplier maps are great! They make it so we can easily give our textures patterns in-game and just customize it in such ways that is just helpful :) Therefore, multipliers should always be:
So a bucket filled grey map will never look great in-game, or with patterns, even with meshes that are usually flat-ish. So do try to find ways to make the most out of your textures! :) If you're not the greatest at creating textures or just need some guidance, we've got you covered with some tutorials!
