Possible Assessments
The texture is very out of scale. It is either far too big, or far too small, to be realistic. Consider how big certain elements, such as the pattern or a tile, would be in comparison to a person in the real world, and then make sure they're the same size in comparison to a sim in game.
The texture is not hugely off-scale, but it is still slightly too big or small to be realistic. Try tweaking the scale a little: consider how big certain elements, such as the pattern or a tile, would be in comparison to a person in the real world, and then make sure they're the same size in comparison to a sim in game.
The scale of your texture is realistic and looks good. Thank you.
General Guidelines
The texture scale should make sense for the game. A terrain paint shouldn't have leaves the size of pool tables, or flowers the size of a sim's head. Compare the texture to a sim's head or hand, and make sure the scale is correct.
