This upload contains one or more types of content we do not allow on MTS, such as LLM-powered Script/Core mods.
General Guidelines
When creating custom content for the Sims games, we do not allow - especially in Script/Core Mods - mods that communicate with external LLM providers. This can be any of: Claude, OpenAI, ChatGPT, Gemini, Ollama, DeepSeek, OpenRouter, etc. This especially includes "Bring your own API key" type mods.
While we understand that talking to Sims through AI can be an exciting feature, these mods require sending game data to external services that we cannot review, verify, or control. It is often unclear what information is transmitted, how it is processed, what is retained by the provider, or whether future updates could change that behavior.
To protect our users, we only host mods whose behavior can be reasonably evaluated for privacy and security. Because externally connected AI mods rely on third-party services outside our control, they introduce risks that cannot be consistently moderated or audited. For that reason, mods that communicate with external LLM providers are not permitted on the site.
Providing the source code does not change this policy. While open source makes the mod more transparent, it does not eliminate the privacy and security risks of sending game data to third-party services. Most users cannot audit source code themselves, and we cannot guarantee that external providers' data handling, retention policies, or future changes remain safe or consistent. Because the mod relies on services outside our control, it is not eligible for hosting regardless of whether its source is public
