Introduction
When uploading a file to MTS, sometimes you might encounter an error. This page lists all the errors, why they occur, and what you can do to fix them.
Tutorials - General (All games)
This means you haven't uploaded an archive file, or an image file. Supported file extensions are: .7z, .rar, .zip, .jpg, .png, .jpeg, .gif, .txt
This error occurs when we can't extract the 7z, rar, or zip file using our system. Typically this is due to corruption on uploading, or when creating the archive file itself.
Try re-compressing the original files, making a new archive, or using a different tool (such as 7zip if you previously used WinRAR).
These errors occur when we are unable to either determine the game type (Error 102) or the type of .package/.sim/etc (Error 103) you have supplied. It can be that we have not yet added, or have missed, support for that particular package type. Please contact Tashiketh on the MTS Discord and supply the file you tried uploading.
This happens when you zip up another zip (or rar, or 7z). This double compression is unnecessary and causes issues for downloaders. You only need to zip up either the package files, sims, or sims2/3packs once!
This happens when the archive is corrupted, or there is a CRC failure somewhere within it. Please try re-uploading again, or see Error 101.
This occurs when you supply an archive thats been split into multiple files, usually a very large source file. These are not currently supported.
If you supply a PDF file, because of possible security issues, these are not allowed inside the archives on MTS. You need to remove this from your upload.
This means it's a corrupted package file that we could not read. See error 102.
Since you can only select a single game to upload for (TS2, TS3 or TS4), the archives uploaded must contain only packages of that game. Do not try to mix packages from different games inside the same archive.

This occurs because you've zipped up a file (in package form) that also appears inside a Sims3Pack. Since both would be put into the users game, it's best to only supply one version - either in the SimsPack or outside.
